Here's a nice loop cleanup the Oracle DB trace files on Linux with the adrci utility. #!/bin/bash #cleanup Automatic Diagnostic Repository (i.e trace files).

I've found that the incident folder ( /u01/app/oracle/diag/rdbms/xe/XE/incident ) can get very large as time goes on. You should not delete these files manually from the OS. Instead it's recommended to use ADRCI instead.We should put this in a crontab -e script to auto purge things older than a week (or make this configurable.Here's what I used to purge all (note that we need to find a way to automate without intervention) |
