I have on my windows 8 computer Teamviewer Touch downloaded and on my iPad normal TeamViewer. Now I want to connect my iPad in such a way that I can control my iPad screen on my windows 8 computer. Jan 24, 2019 - TeamViewer will need to be installed on both the computer you are accessing remotely and the computer you're using. The same program is.
-->Devices managed by Intune can be administered remotely using TeamViewer. TeamViewer is a third party program that you purchase separately. This topic shows you how to configure TeamViewer within Intune, and to remotely administer a device.
Prerequisites
- Use a supported device. Intune-managed Android, Windows, iOS, and macOS devices support remote administration. TeamViewer may not support Windows Holographic (HoloLens), Windows Team (Surface Hub), or Windows 10 S. For supportability, see TeamViewer for any updates.
- The Intune administrator within the Azure portal must have following Intune roles:
- Update Remote Assistance: Allows administrators to modify the TeamViewer connector settings
- Request Remote Assistance: Allows administrators to start a new remote assistance session for any user. Users with this role are not limited by any Intune role within a scope. Also, user or device groups assigned an Intune role within a scope can also request remote assistance.
- A TeamViewer account with the sign-in credentials. Only some TeamViewer licenses may support integration with Intune. For specific TeamViewer needs, see TeamViewer Integration Partner: Microsoft Intune.
By using TeamViewer, you're allowing the TeamViewer for Intune Connector to create TeamViewer sessions, read Active Directory data, and save the TeamViewer account access token.
Configure the TeamViewer connector
To provide remote assistance to devices, configure the Intune TeamViewer connector using the following steps:
- In the Azure portal, select All Services, and search for Microsoft Intune.
- In Microsoft Intune, select Devices, and then select TeamViewer Connector.
- Select Connect, and then accept the license agreement.
- Select Log in to TeamViewer to authorize.
- A web page opens to the TeamViewer site. Enter your TeamViewer license credentials, and then Sign In.
Remotely administer a device
After the connector is configured, you're ready to remotely administer a device. Use the following steps:
- In the Azure portal, select All Services, and search for Microsoft Intune.
- In Microsoft Intune, select Devices, and then select All devices.
- From the list, select the device that you want to remotely administer. In the device properties, select New Remote Assistance Session.
- After Intune connects to the TeamViewer service, you'll see some information about the device. Connect to start the remote session.
When you start a remote session, users see a notification flag on the Company Portal app icon on their device. A notification also appears when the app opens. Users can then accept the remote assistance request.
Note
Windows devices that are enrolled using 'userless' methods, such as DEM and WCD, don't show the TeamViewer notification in the Company Portal app. In these scenarios, it's recommended to use the TeamViewer portal to generate the session.
In TeamViewer, you can complete a range of actions on the device, including taking control of the device. For full details of what you can do, see the TeamViewer guidance.
When finished, close the TeamViewer window.

Editor’s Note: The following review is adapted from Five Star Apps: The Best iPhone and iPad Apps for Work and Play by Glenn Fleishman. (2010, Pearson Education and Peachpit Press).
The free TeamViewer app (on the iPad, it’s called TeamViewer HD) works with desktop software of the same name for Mac OS X, Windows, and other platforms to provide remote access to a desktop. The desktop TeamViewer works as both a server and for remote access; the app is for remote access only. It’s easy to use and flexible. The iOS version provides a great window on other machines. (TeamViewer cannot provide remote access to view an iOS screen, however.)
You can install TeamViewer on a computer with essentially no configuration. TeamViewer lets you set up an account to create the equivalent of buddy lists (it calls buddies “partners”). The no-account approach differs from LogMeIn Ignition, which requires setup at LogMeIn.com first. (LogMeIn likewise provides free and paid versions of its software for Mac OS X, Windows, and other platforms.)
Launch the app and you can start a session in one of two ways. In the Connect tab, enter a code number and password set by the desktop software that can’t be changed. Or you can use the Partner List, where you log into a TeamViewer account and can see and connect to machines that are part of your partner network. Your partner list includes computers you’ve added to your own account.
In either case, once a connection is made, the remote screen appears. As with similar apps, you have access to a virtual keyboard and mouse, as well as special function keys. Shake your device to swap between monitors if the remote device has more than one display. Pinch and expand works for controlling what you see within the frame of your device.
The company offers free versions of this app for when you’re engaged in what TeamViewer calls noncommercial use; it relies on the honor system for enforcement. Otherwise, there’s a $100 version for commercial use called TeamViewer Pro as well as a $140 TeamViewer HD Pro version for iPad users. Corporate licenses are quite expensive, but are priced for each active user’s desktop, with no limits on many kinds of remote access.
